Hi there,
how common is abortion and whole litter absorbtion? The books I have read say that it happens, but I was just wandering how many litters normally don't make it.
Thanks for your replies.

Hi blossom it is very hard to know most litters are absorbed early on so people would think either the bitch wasnt pregnant in the first place or that she had ,had a phantom pregnancy.
I do know of one bitch who reabsorbs pups at about 31/2 weeks the owner has tried everything to get this bitch to breed but after alot of expence and heartache has had her spade

Hi
I have bulldog bitches, that i have seen puppies on a scan at 5 week's but they were absorbed, i know of a few cases, i think it is quite common but you just think the bitch has 'missed'. You don't know unless you have them scanned!!
