HI, I'm trying to find suitable insurance for two different dog clubs; one is a non-club group (a flyball squad), and the other an obedience and agility general public club. We used to be with pet plan but due to their changes etc are now looking for alternatives. Any suggestions???

hiya, i was going to register with pet -plan but have since changed my mind it would cost me 28.75 a month to insure my puppy!!! I have since looked at other options such as tesco, direct line and many others. There are many different pet insurance companys you can just do a search for them using goggle just read all the pro's and cons!! hope this helps, xanthe.

E & L seem to be quite cheap around £9. They also have good cover for that price. The main thing to look for is excess price and what they actually cover. I was with Pet Plan and my dog's K9 tooth snapped and they wouldn't pay out to get it done so I did- £700! They said it was cosmetic but the vet said it needed to be done because it went into the nerve.

Our three local training clubs used to be insured with Pet Plan, but are now with Euclidian Insurance Services Ltd, PH: 01784 484617. I think to cover 40 dogs the cost is about £92, 50 dogs about £115.

Pet Plan have dropped the club insurance from their portfolio! I put a post on here some little time ago about it, asking for suggestions about alternatives. We are at the moment looking into the situation but have not taken any decision yet. (Our insurance does not run out for several months yet so we have plenty of time.)

Regards, John
