We have purchased a white bull terrier. He was 5 months May 1, 2003. I have purchased a book, but was not too much help on certain questions I needed to ask.

How big will he be? height and weight?

How much do I feed him?

And most urgent, we were told that these dogs only shed twice a year. What time of the year do they shed? and most important, he sheds like crazy, we cannot pick him up with out having 1/2 his coat on us. What can we do to get rid of shedding. Its umbeleivable how much hair he is loosing.

Please help

Most dogs shed twice a year - from January to June, and from July to December!

Buy a Zoom Groom - it's very good for that type of coat, and a short-bristle brush for finishing off.

What book have you got?

Also , I think white hair tends to show up more when moulting

Hi Guest
as far as I am aware they will grow to approx 18 inches ( to the withers) and roughly weigh 73 pounds . Sorry its not in metric but I'm an old fashined girl :)
They apparently do like ther food so intake should be monitored as they are prone to put on weight
Hope that helps alittle :)

Besides th moulting how is your pup doing ( i do like the bull terriers i must admit)
