Hi we are thinking about going on a round the world yacht trip on our yacht problem is we have 4 dogs.
How do we stand on laws? And when the dogs go with us will they need a passport or not & will they be able to return to england after say being on a yacht in America?
Our dogs will not be getting off the yacht to wander around the place in these countries.
Sounds awful maybe as they aren't getting walked but they love swimming so thats how they'll get their exercise as they are spaniels & have sailed all over the uk with us since puppies & love it.
Its a 60ft yacht by the way.
would love any information

Dont know about the dogs but I have a british and Aussie pasport, spent a number of years as a kid on a fishing trawler, does that qualify me for a position as deckhand/loafer.. (grin)
Forgot to mention travelled around the world 3 times (Uk to OZ then back then back out to OZ all b4 I was 10 years old) Is that enough of a reference?

poor emma.. tell you what though now Ive got a dog no more galavanting around the world. We bought a tent so we might be joining you in the black forest.. Or is it called the wet muddy forest.

I think you will need a word with DEFRA. Chances are that they will have to go into quarantine on their return, or stay inEurope or one of the PET Passport Qualifying period (if they have already got their Pet Passports this will be 6 months from the time they were last in a non Pets passport country.
