Does anyone know whether you can search affixes on the kennel club website etc to make sure that your choice of affix isnt duplicating someone elses or do you just have to wait to hear from the kc to see if it does??

You can't search different affixes but you can order a list of affixes within a certain breed for the cost of £6.

Unfortunately, while it is helpful, the list does not guarantee that you will get your choic if it does not appear, as Affixes are dot breed dependent. With the new(ish)affix application system they reply quite quickly about the probablility of getting your first choices, and sometimes you can get helpful phone advice if the KC person has time to do a computer search for you.

Hi, I've just got my paper through to apply for an affix & it says they can reply to your choice of name(s) within 10 working days subject to kc regulations, hope this is of some help to you.
