Hi,

look what kind of atidude your dog has. What kind of clours ar ethe patches? Is it a female or male? You choose the name you like. I have heard a name : fiffi. I thought there is comming a cute little dog out of the brush. But the tiny dog was a huge st bernhard. My friend has a friend. She did named her dog tiny. Oh well. It was a doberman.

Some breeds do think that they are huge.

Hi Linda,
Is it the name of a breed you're looking for?

Linda,

Without entering the current political wrangle :D .......... the Jack Russell is a 'type' rather than a specific breed, and is therefore fairly varied in size, colour, etc. and can be either smooth or rough coated. It is a traditionally short-legged dog. This may well be what you've seen, and you've just seen a small one - as my friend who bought one last year to replace her much loved boy who'd died a year earlier found out, though, size of a tiny puppy is no reflection of the dog they may grow into.

There is also a KC registered breed called the Parson Russell Terrier, similar basic type but longer on the leg and a bit 'smarter'.

Hope that helps,
Marina

Hi Linda

It sounds like you are describing a Jack Russell Terrier or Parson Russell Terrier. Both are white and tan, black and white or tri-colour - although white predominates. They can either be smooth or rough coated. The JRT have short legs the Parson Russell Terrier has longer legs (standing about 12-14 inches from floor to shoulder).

I have a PRT.

J :)
