Help! I put soft cheese spread in my dog's Kong and now there is some stuck to the bottom and I can't get it out - have tried soaking in hot water, rinsing under the tap and attacking it with a knife but the cheese won't budge! Any ideas??

I use a chop stick to get the skanky bits out and then bung the kong in the dishwasher. I always rinse it in the tap afterwards as I have a lemon thing in the machine to make it smell nice and the rubber does take on a hint of lemon.

Leave it to soak in cold water , then use a knitting needle or , as Fiona said , a chopstick to deskank

Hi Bear,
If all else fails, you could try inserting a small mouse into the Kong.
Mouse's are quite partial to cheese I am led to believe.
:D  :p

Brilliant idea :D, 'cos dogs are partial to small mice I believe, so everyone happy :p

I usually use the back end of one of my forks (the handle not the tongs) to get the stuff out. Under the rim can be a pain too.
