Hello Board
I've already confessed in another post to Melody that I own a Corgi door knocker.

I have also embarassed my husband with our Corgi shaped topiary bush in the front garden [he can just about manage the Welsh Corgi 2003 calendar].
What is your most prized Dog "collectible"? I will be very disappointed if the breeders do not have houses filled with the stuff - I like to think I chose my breeder for her top quality dogs but I think the collection of 1930's Corgi salt and pepper shakers did it for me...
Cissy x

I have my own Malamute mug , a Polo shirt with a Mal on , and various bits n pieces ...3 stuffed toys (sibes actually but havent found a Mal one) etc etc. The car though ...covered in Mal stickers ;) I am just a beginner yet ....I hope to collect more and more ..I do lust over Ebay.com (as opposed to Ebay.co.uk) as they have loads more Mally stuff advertised on there.
Melody - Beginner ;)

LOL Cissy :D
Collie paraphernalia fights with Winnie the Pooh in my house, definitely not 'minimalist' me. Have half a 'Vic & Tim Griffiths' stand in various places throughout the stand - those who go to shows and haven't seen V&T's stand are definitely missing out!
Recently bought a mini Steiff Rough Collie from ebay (yes, another addict .........)
Oh, and the dogs (and Winnie the Pooh) spill over into the family fridge magnet obsession too - my Mum's fridge is literally covered in FMs (tasteful, I know), and having spent years laughing at her, I'm ashamed to admit I've caught the bug. Cannot now go anywhere on holiday without buying one, although do try to make sure they're 'tasteful' ones, if a tasteful fridge magnet is not a contradiction in terms ;).

LOL - I used to recoil with horror that a friend filled her dining room wall with black lab plates!
And yes Ebay is terrible - How dare someone outbid me for those Corgi patterned bedsheets?? [lol - they would have looked very smart in the dog's bed!!]
cissy

It was probably Queenie that outbid you, and they're in one of the spare bedrooms at Buckingham Palace as we speak :D

:D I'll check if the winner's name was "Brenda" ! [sorry! I'm a Private Eye addict!]
I suspect Philip is forced to sleep in them everytime he does something wrong!! ;)

I have a house full of Husky stuff!! Including 2 real ones! My favourite pieces are parts 1 & 2 of the Steiff mushing set. A musher on his sled and 3 huskies, part 3 is another husky & a polar bear. I've lost count of the soft toys, but at the last count there were over 70, including 2 life sizes ones. Another favourite is a print which I bought from an Alaskan artist, whose daughter asked her to do the painting because she raced huskies herself.

Loads of American Cocker pics - paintings and photos, and models, of course, the 2 most NAFF both of which I adore) are a model of a fish pond (with koi) and waterfall, witha parti and buff Yankee looking in, and a snow-globe, which plays a mushy tune, and has a tiny book on the front, with a tear-jerking peice on it about when you have to say goodbye! The figure inside is a tiny black american cocker, on a cloud, with a halo and wings! (Cry everytime I read the lines:(). Also have a cuddly American cocker, in victorian dress, who woofs several christmas carols. Now happily shopping on e-bay for loads of pug stuff, including a brooch inscribed "Puglet" (matching earrings too), a fabulous hadbag with a Sequined pug on it, and a really fun bag with a whole bunch of cartoon dogs on, including a Pug with bows on its ears.
bye

Oh you will find lots to spend your money on with puggy stuff, Gwen, like my Dandie they were popular in the old days with the toffs weren't they :) consequently there are lots of good quality items to be had. I've got a good few prints of Dandies and a couple of breed books but I haven't spent an awful lot of money yet on the brooches and stuff that the Victorias produced. In Dandies we also have the Dandie Dinmont Whisky stuff but I haven't found any of that yet that I could afford.

Well at the last count i have 55 gsd statues that also fight for space with my other collections of tigger, egyption statues, mooses and horses in the front room, the garden has 2 hanging basket frames, 1 is a gsd and the other is a cocker, front door has a gsd door knocker and a gsd door plaque and the door bell barks!!! the car is also maxed out with dog stuff, there every need is catered for:D, i bought for mick on valentines day an old english sheepdog that sings only you, so does that now make me certifiably mad:D :D

Hi Cissy,
We have show beardie pictures, plates and models, working beardie pictures, cavalier pictures and plates (my first own dog was a Ruby Cav.) :) , Whippet and Greyhound pictures and models (mum used to breed and show whippets and always loved greyhounds) and a few Lurcher bits and pieces because they are cute. :D
We have got a lovely house name plate outside, with a hand painted picture of one of our current beardies and a beardie mobile hanging in the hall and boards full of rosettes for different things.
I think there is something dog in every single room of the house, possibly except the toilet ( I think) :D
E-bay is the best for doggie stuff, but believe me it's so addictive and costs a fortune, but we get some fab things on there.

Same in our house, except we used to have 2 pictures of dogs peeing up a wall hanging in our toilet until we changed our bathroom & tiled the walls. They now hang in the landing just outside the bathroom.
