CAN ANY ONE RECOMEND A PRODUCT TO REMOVE TEAR STAINS OFF MY BICHONS FACE. IVE TRIED TEAR REMOVER FROM MY LOCAL PET SHOP BUT THAT DID NOT WORK. THANK YOU IN ANTICIPATION M MCDONALD.

I've been told that a solution of bicarboate of soda can be very effective. Take care not to get it in the dog's eyes, though!
Hope this helps

Hello,
There are many different tear stain removers available, we used to use one called "Diamiondeye" years ago, not sure if they still make it.

Hi
This is nothing to do with tear stain remover. I am due to get my pupppie Bichon in 7 weeks, I have done lots of research & am really exited, unfortunatly after chatting to a lady at the shops who had a pup (not a Bichon) I was telling her & she said her sister had a Bichon & it is very snappy, I always thought they were a family dog & as I have 3 small grandchildren I am now concerned, what is your opinion as an owner of a Bichon, can you put my mind at rest or give me any tips? I know all dogs are different but as a general rule.
Thanks Pauline.

I have a two year old bichon, and am going to get another pup soon. Mine has never snapped and is a wonderful dog. My sister in law has two aswell and hers never snap. If you are boss and let it know if it ever does snap, that it is NOT allowed to I'm sure you will be fine. They are a very friendly breed.

Hi Blossom
Thanks thats very reassuring, I am really looking forward to getting her. Have you ever used a puppy crate? I keep reading about them. Pauline

Hi Pauline (my name is Pauline too, bichons must be a Pauline 'thing').
I have not used a crate on my own dog. It has always seemed very mean to me, for a pet, which basicly I count as a member of my family. When we went out to start with we would keep her in the kitchen where she would have room to play, but where she couldn't chew too much, with LOADS of toys. She has the whole house to wonder around now.
When I looked after a friends Bichon it had a crate. It was still pretty young, but it cryed all night the first night and hated going in. In the end we just kept it our coz we couldn't sleep with the noise and she was an angel.
Bichons are VERY playful dogs and I really don't think it is fair to put them in such a small space.
Anyway, good luck.

Hi Pauline
Thanks for the reply, I tend to agree, like you our pup will be a much loved family member, its just that you read so many tips, advice you dont know what to do in the end. I plan to let the pup use the kitchen when I am out during the day I am sure it will be safer, & when we are in there is no problem particularly when she is house trained. How old is your Bichon? sorry dont know her name. Any advice?
Regards Pauline.
