Hi, I recently rescued a maltese bitch, and took her to my vet for vac plus a check up before taking her home. a week and a half later i found out she was pregnant. im verry worried what the vaccination will do to her pups. my vet said that it did not matter but while surfing the net ive read articles about how bad it is to vaccinate a pregnant bitch. however it does not explain why. can anybody help? thanks
p.s i dont know what breed could have gotten her preggies, when is it to late to abort?

I would suggest that you ring your Vet and talk it over with him/her

Hi,
Just been reading your thread. My vet told me that the best time to vaccinate a bitch in whelp (boosters) is two weeks before expected whelping date, and this maximises the protection of the puppies. Hope this helps.
