Thank you so much John, for your information. But we still don't know if this virus is contagious to humans. Thanks again for your imput. Would appreciate anyones help on this subject.

I can only tell you that in the case I know of my friend and her family did not catch anything. In the main there is not much we can catch from our dogs, most things do not jump the species. (Even a dog flea cannot live on us although it will give a nasty nip in passing! :d )

Incidentally, the puppy who had this has since won a Field Trial so you can tell how well he recovered!

I had to look this up John to see if it was similar to the equine strangles and it is, i didnt know dogs could get this, you learn something new everyday.
