Does anyone know of a dog breed known as PATTERDAY I think its a type of Jack Russell but coud'nt swear to it. Please help. Many thanks.

Thanks for the info.... had two fox terriers (15YRS) up until three years ago...lost them both in the space of 12 months...too painful to replace until now... starting to warm to the idea of getting a dog again. Love terriers and saw little black dog out side local post office...owner said it was a Patterday?...struck me as a wonderful dog.....any suggestions? (not fox terriers though, too many memories)

Hi Mike

I'm not a Terrier person myself but recalled seeing quite a few posts about Patterdales on here and they sound hard work to me for a pet. If you are used to the terrier temperament though you maybe wouldn't find it as difficult as a novice owner :)
There are some terrier owners on here who will probably be along shortly who may have some suggested breeds for you.

Here is a starting point for you though which may give some suggestions
