I bought a flat coat bitch approx 6 years ago from a breeder in Ormskirk,Lancs.Her kennel club name is Invercaldy Breeze.She is a super dog and i would love to get a new puppy with a similar temperament.She was bred from working stock and i am told that this usually leads to a better temperament in the dog as opposed to from showing stock.i do not want to show the dog it is purely to be a pet.If anyone can help me to locate the breeder or if anyone has suitable pups available in the Lancs/Merseyside area then pleas contact me by e-mail at GillClements@msn.com.Thanks.

Have you tried contacting Shirley Johnson? Although, she is litter register secretary, she does know of most breeders. Invercaldy is not a known affix, but I have found Mrs Johnson is usually able to track down the breeder which you are interested in. Mrs Johnson can be contacted on 01638 718231.

Although this may be true of some other breeds, IMO it should not make a difference to flatcoats, as temperament should be foremost in any breeder's mind. However, good luck with your search for a puppy. :) Polly's advice is very good. :)

i hope we are not going down the line of other breeds,working and showing dog are different,i througth to like montys mum,that f/c are durl purpose,all mine are shown and at times worked and have great temperants all 4 live together happy with a swd,and the odd litter,
