Hello

We are looking for advice on adopting a puppy. We have been researching suitable breeds for our family and are now taking the steps of locating a trusted breeder in Scotland. We've been busy reading books on the A-Z of Labradors and also talking to friends who are dog owners. In other words, trying to be responsible and making an educated choice for our family, the dog and the future!

When searching for a suitable breed the most important aspects for us were how good the dog would be with children across a broad age group and also would it be a suitable jogging companion. We would appreciate any further advice you could give us on whether our findings are in fact accurate.

We have only ever owned one dog which we adopted from a cat & dog home and therefore are unsure of where to begin when finding a breeder. We have emailed all of the listed breeders on this web site for the Scotland area but some of the email addresses did not work. (of course, there is always the old dog and bone to try!)

If anyone can point us in the right direction we'd be really grateful.

Many thanks for your time.
Steven & Wendy
