It is normal for the bitch to travel to the stud dog.
The stud fee is often the price of a puppy or pick of the litter but not always.
Most responsible stud owners will insist your bitch has had all the relavent health checks for her breed ie hips scored, eyes tested
and they will want to make sure your bitch is a good example of the breed.
You will probally have to travel to find a good dog with a compatible pedigree the last bitch I mated had to travell 150 miles to the dog and that isnt unusual
