I have a rough collie and the breeder gave me a copy of her pedigree. Unfortunately something was spilt on the paper and I am unable to read all the names. Her sire was Pelido International Affair and her dam was Pelido Diamond Crystal of Sheltiekan. Three of her great grandparents were Lynway Sandknocker, Pelido Delta Dawn of Daviston and Pelido Double Fantasy. I would be very greatful if anybody could give me further information on her pedigree.

If you contact the Kennel Club http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk you will be able to buy a 5-generation copy of her pedigree.

Give a friend my mine a ring she's owned this breed for years and can probably help. Her number is 01952 289339 her name is Joan. Tell her Janet (Tripe) gave you the number. Can't the breeder help?

Haven't looked up details, but with the 'Diamond' in the Mum's name she sounds blue, so would imagine sire is the older tricolour International Affair as posted, rather than the sable Italian Affair.

As has been said, the KC will provide a pedigree at a charge, or if the poster would like to post her date of birth, I can look up the details, knock up a pedigree and email it. :)

Will have to go on a mission to find out now ..... the 'Diamond Crystal' just doesn't sound like a name Lisa would give a sable. Mind you, in the days of International Affair, she didn't tend to mix the sable line with the tri's - we'll see!

Oh yes, use Wizard's Castle a lot, it's fab - just thought you'd managed to confirm the breeding of the poster's dog. Does sound as if the mum must be sable, though, as there's still the Fantasy line to tie in.

International Affair is the sire, as above. Diamond Crystal is by Damirayan Dream Lover at Pelido (Ch. Pelido Double Fantasy x Damirayan Dear Laura) x Pelido Candy Kisses at Akdeniz (Chelines Hello Geoffrey at Pelido x Ch. Pelido Delta Dawn at Daviston).

Hello Geoffrey and Delta Dawn are of course also both sired by the exceptionally beautiful Double Fantasy, so a lovely pedigree on the Mum's side, although I was never a fan of International Affair I must confess.

(I'm biased on the Double Fantasy bit, as I had a beautiful Amalie-bred daughter of his, there will never be a dog to match her ...... but bias apart, his impact on the breed is huge.)
