Hi as most of you know i've got a new pup,all is going well except wheh he is
in his crate he's howls and barks continually, however when hes in their during the night he does not. We've tried ignoring the barking ,we only put him in the crate for aout 20 mins at any one time.I can leave him outside in the run and he does not howl.Never had this problem with my other dogs.

Any suggestions??

When I put mine in a crate she only gets certain toys then. One of her favourite things is a smoked bone with a little tinned dog meat stuffed right inside so it takes a while to lick it out. All treats were only given in the crate so it was associated with nice things. Don't say to your pup when he is howling 'good boy stop barking' the good boy tells him its right to bark.

Hope that helps
