Hi,
Can anyone tell me how much you would be expected to pay for a Boxer puppy in the south east of England and whether you would pay more for a well marked puppy in a mixed litter?
Thanks

It really depends on the pedigree, if the parents are successfully shown, relevant health checks done etc
and if the experienced breeder thinks it's a 'promising' puppy that could be shown.
The average price for a Boxer puppy in the South East of England is around the £500 mark.
I know some will charge more & some less. Some let the 'plainer' pups go for less, but most sell
their pups at the same price unless it is a white or badly mismarked.
Whatever please make sure that both parents are heart-tested and clear, the breeders should
be able to show you the mothers certificate, signed by the vet that has done the testing. If they own the father too, then also his.
There is a listing of all Boxers that have heart-tested clear and you can find this on a website
called Boxerunderground, if you do a search on the internet you should be able to find the site.
They will either be graded 0 (best score) 1 (next best score) or D which means they've passed
but on a dopplor machine.
As regards markings if you want to show then do not go for a puppy that has half a white face etc, as this
is a mismark, the same when looking at leg markings, especially on the back legs do not have one
that has white which appears on the thighs or over the quarters, or over the hock joint.
However if you want just a pet and don't want to show the markings don't matter it's personal preference.

Kind Regards
Kirstine
