I have been using fragaria on a regular basis with good results, but since mating my bitch 7 weeks ago, have stopped using it on her. However, despite brushing her teeth regularly, I have noticed a build-up of tartar. In the Dorwest catalogue, it doesn't give any mention as to whever or not it is safe to use on pregnant bitches. Does anyone know if it can be safely used on pregnant and lactating bitches?

You can use ANY homeopathic remedies on in whelp bitches,they will do no harm at all.A week before she whelps Caullophyllum will tone up her uterus, and Arnica after whelping will soothe discomfort and ease any bruising.

Sorry, but there are some remedies that should not be used on pregnant bitches. I am no expert, but its always best to check in a reputable book/with a homeopath before treating such bitches.

No, Sorry, you cannot emphatically use homeopathic remedies on in-whelp bitches regardless!!!!! I have used Caulophyllum very effectively with uterine inertia in sheep and dogs, BUT it can induce premature labour under certain circumstances, and would never use it unless the bitch was within two or three days of her due date.
There are a good many other homeopathic substances which are contra-indicated - if you use them you really need the advice of a good homeopathic vet, or you are taking too much risk.
