Hi again! My breeder only have two male puppies left, but we wanted a female. Is their any large diffrence between the two? Also... many ppl have told me its ok not to feed the dog in the middle of the day as long as they get fed in the morning, around 4-5 and dinner. Ive had some contradictions about this as people say the dog must be fed around noon. Which is true? I wont always be able to make it home at lunch so I wont be able to feed my dog at noon!!!

Sorry but in my opinion you shouldn't be buying a puppy at all. You just cannot leave a puppy alone all day without company. It will never be housetrained and will probably have temperament/bahaviour problems. Yes puppies do need a lunchtime meal, and will for some months. I dont know anyone that feed their pups at 4 in the morning. IMO anyone who is out of the house for more than max 4-5 hours a day should not take on a puppy at all. What sort of breeder would sell one to a full time working household I wonder?

It sounds like the attitude of a puppy farmer to me - sell the pup, take the money, and not care about its welfare. :(

the person is only asking our advice not a lecture but i do agree you cannot leave a puppy and go off to work all day unless someone else can spend time with it its just NOT FAIR and a pup does need three to four meals a day pending on age 9am 1pm and around 7pm is what i did and still do now for the new addition to the family you see they are a part of the family and should be treated as such :)

Its not just feeding that needs to be considered-you are taking a pup from an environment where it has had its siblings to play with and expect it to be happy on its own for ??? hours a day. What about toilet training aswell?? I'm not having a go or lecturing but these are things that must be considered.
As for male/female difference I think when it was discussed a few months ago we decided it was very much an individual thing and differed from dog to dog rather than being a difference between sexes.
