Maiden : for dogs which have not won a CC or a first prize at an OPEN or Champ show (except puppy classes blah de blah)

Am I right in thinking that Phoebie cannot enter a Maiden class now as she got a first in Junior at an open show ? It reads like that but has surprised me I have to admit.

Also

Novice : for dogs which have not won a CC or 3 or more 1st prizes at an OPEN or Champ show (except puppy blah de blah)

I know what this reads like but does this mean definately that if Phoebie gets another first (even if only one in class lol) we would then be out of novice and into Graduate etc classes (for the rest of our lives as I can't see us getting many firsts at Champs shows lol) ???

I think I understand but my brains fuzzy today so want to check ;)

Ta, SaraW :)

hummmmmm not sure I do understand lol
Can you win 3 classes before you have to move out of Novice or just 2 ???

Hi Sara, You or rather Phoebie is out of Maiden if she has won a 1st at all, and as she has she it not able to go into a Maiden class. Novice if you have won 3 1st then you can't go into Novice. 3 not 2 and yes sorry it does include even if you are the only one in the class. You don't have to stay in Graduate you can put her into any class above that that you wish. It is usual to do so as they grow older but it is up to you.

Do you still go to club on Tuesdays?

Hi Jackie

Thanks :) I was getting myself mixed up over the 2 or 3 wins bit ;)

I do still go on Tuesdays - didn't get there last week though and may not tomorrow either as been really busy at work and just flopping on an evening. Things are going quiet now for a while at work so hope to get back in the swing of it properly in a week or so. It's been busy there since the New Year - a few new faces and dogs :)
May see you there soon?

Sara :)

Putting Saxon back into the ring, he has not been shown for 2 years so I'm not sure how much he remembers. Might have to bring him for a refresher course. LOL
