My parents have a tri colour cavalier and are looking for a stud dog for her to mate with. They live in the Forest of Dean and are lookng for somewhere reasonably close.

Hello Ben ...after making sure that the bitch is an outstanding example of her breed , they will need to make sure she has had ALL the necessary health checks as most stud dog owners will not use her unless this has been done.

The best thing would be to go back to the breeder of their bitch and ask for their advice
