Topic Dog Boards / General / BORDER COLLIE ON LOAN
- By tinytot [gb] Date 29.03.03 19:26 UTC
Hi i am a junior handler and i was wondering if anybody had a border collie or know of a border collie or cross, that does flyball also agility, i do both but sadly no longer have a dog to do this with, does anybody off this board know of someone that maybe can't do this sport with there dog anymore, i would be willing to train and run there dog in competion, i live in the Hartlepool area, and would be willing with my mum to pick the dog up on Saturdays where i train for flyball, and agility on Sunday mornings,i would pay the entrance fees to any competitions, as i have a saturday job to pay for any competions. So if you know of anyone for what ever reason can't run there dog please would you let them know of me thanks to everyone

Hi :)
how good to see such an enthusiastic post : I do hope someone can help you; all I can offer you is an old grumpy Golden Retriever; not compatible with agility, and a hooligan flatcoat retriever!!:D Unfortunately we live in Sussex, otherwise I'd drop my f/c off myself!!!

Good Luck

Oh, don't do that Liberty! You love her really! When she's over 12 mths old, you could have a go at agility with her yourself! :D

Hi Monty's Mum :)

I do love her to bits :D but as for agility, I'm sure she'd be fine......I'd be the problem there  :D

Hi (I think I may have emailed you before about this but I'm going to reply to this to make sure you get it!)
It's a shame you don't live in the South West as you could have trained one of my BCs. You could try posting an advert on the agility forum of agilitynet.com asking what you've asked us lot or keep looking on the rescue me section of agilitynet as at the moment they have a dog fully trained looking for a home, don't know whether the owner would be prepared to do a loan or not though.
Please keep us informed with how you get on!
Char xx
