Topic Dog Boards / Health / my RC has a lump on her tummy!
- By MydogsRmylife [gb] Date 29.03.03 14:45 UTC
Hi all

I sat last night giving my doggies a good brush and when i came to do my rough collies tummy i noticed she has a lump on her bare bit ...im guessing it about the same place as her umbilical cord was .
Is this normal ? its about the size of a large pea , it dont seem to bother her one bit but i am concerned that it could be a hernia!
she is now 16 weeks old if that helps.
anyone got any ideas? it will be monday b4 we can get her to the vets so any help in the mean time would be great :)
thanks jo x x x x

Hi,
It sounds as though it could be a very very tiny bit of abdominal fat poking through her tummy-button. Technically it could be called a small hernia, but at that size it's nothing to worry about. :)

Hi
As jeangenie says it's sounds like a umbilical hernia lots of dogs have them, and it's nothing to worry about. :)
