Does anyone use this brand, I am thinking of swapping from JWB to this for one of my dogs because she deperately needs to loose weight, Is it as good as JWB, my dogs coat is in excellant condition with JWB its just not helping her weight.

Rather than swopping her from a food that suits her onto somehting that might not, could you not just decrease how much you are feeding her and up her exercise?

We have tried this at the moment she is only on about half her normal requirements and we have upped her exercise but its made no difference. She is not a big eater anyway so really she needs a lighter diet.

I used Beta Light for my overweight collie (had tried other things and nothing worked). The weight is came off a treat! Be careful though cos you don't need to feed as much as it tells you on the side of the packet. I've now changed again to a Barf diet and it's still coming off - lost 6 pounds in 5 weeks. Really proud of her. Only another 8 stone to go (only kidding).
Good luck with the weight loss.

Just wondering if you could tell me if Beta light is ok for younger dogs please. Poppy(Golden Lab) is 10 months old today and I do know the rescue centre was feeding her Beta light, but she was irritable and naughty when I collected her! I switched to Pedigree puppy tinned food and she was as good as gold - but I would like to see her lose a bit of weight (she's 32kg at 10 months old). Mattie did advise me via another thread that this may not be too bad a weight if she is big boned which she is. Would be very interested to know whether the Beta light is actually recommended for dogs of 10 months old.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Val
