is a halti a good training aid for a bull terrier?

Don't know if I'd call a Halti a training aid as such - it's a head collar used to stop dogs pulling on lead, but doesn't actually train them not to pull. All bull terriers I've seen round here, and there seem to be a few of them, wear harnesses.
