My 8 month old beagle bitch puppy leaves little yellowy green marks wherever she sits. I'm a bit worried about this as i have taken her to the vets quite alot of times since she was a pup and sometimes i think i worry a bit too much. Last time i went i mentioned the marks and they said it could be cystitis so i was told to make her drink plenty of water etc. I've had bitches before and they never left marks like this. Do you think she has an infection or am i over reacting? Also we are expecting her to come into season for the first time shortly, so i don't know whether that has any connection. I would be grateful for any advice.

Hi
Sounds like she has a little infection, my pup had one and was squirted with antibiotics in the infected place :)...but my vet said that it would probably sort itself out once she came in to season and he was right, but she still had two lots of squirts to be on the safe side.
I would definitely take her back to the vet and see if she can have a squirt too :)

Sounds like Vaginitis to me quite often this can clear up on its own but sometimes they do need a course
of antibiotics, always better to be safe than sorry. The first season usually sorts it out,but my vet said some bitches can be prone to these sorts of infections even after their season.
