HI, my 4 month westies are on 3 meals a day and often wouldn't eat much/any of the lunchtime meal. I have to admit that mine wont eat complete without a little meat added. IMHO westies have so much growing to do in such a short time that it does no harm at this young age while they are growing at top speed to have the extra protein that the meat gives. However if by about 9 months they still wont eat complete without meat then I change the complete to a lower protein (22-24%) and stilll give them a little meat- and I mean a little - a dessert spoon per meal. Even my grown ups get a tiny bit of meat in their daily complete meal - they look sooooo disappointed if its just a bowl of biscuits.
