Hi everyone,
I have a 4 month Giant Schnauzer who seems to be developing a bit of a problem with his right rear leg.
After walking for a while he seems to turn it inwards and sometimes it gives way under him.
When I purchased the puppy I pointed out a slightly funny gait to the breeder who told me he "had a bit of a swagger" but was otherwise OK.
Would appreciate some advice.
Thanks.
Richard.

Hi Richard,
Advice would have to be .... take him to your vet, get x-rays done, etc. to put your mind at rest. If it's an issue that may affect his development, i.e. a growth plate injury, it needs fixing ASAP.
Hope it's not anything too serious.

Hello Fellow Schnauzer owner,
I have a Mini, sorry I can be of no help, but I just wanted to say hello
as there are not many schnauzer people on here very often!
Good luck with your not so little canine friend!
Let us know how you get on, sure he will be fine!

im a schnauzer owner(mini) he is called zak and is 10 months old.he is dark salt and pepper and a real sweety.we are getting a kerry blue later this year and have decide to call him boscoe.does your schnauzer shed?i think the reason that zak does is that he lays so close to fire,im amazed his fur hasnt frazzled.

Do you or any body else here Know of any good books or videos that illustrate handstripping?
Or a groomer in the West Midlands that is prepared to handstrip Schnauzers?
I collect my Giant Schnauzer in a few weeks, so I need all the info I can get on keeping the perfect coat, so far the websites i've found are not all that informative with regards to procedure.
I've watched the grooming process at shows and I'm sure the breeder will demonstrate but I would like something detailed to read.
Many Thanks
P.S: Thanks for replying to my last message.
Hope your dog recovers soon
