Hello, I don't think I've posted on this board much, there always seems to be too much going on for me to keep up with! I'm after a bit of help and I know a lot of you on here are breeders so I thought I'd ask on here.
I am currently being trained by Gwen Bailey to run the Puppy School classes in my area. As part of the course I have to do a bit of training with as many puppies as possible, to get more experience with a variety of different breeds and temperaments.
I wondered if there was anyone on here in the north east (Durham way) who had a litter of puppies I could do a bit of training with. It's just basic things, like 'sit', 'down' and 'stand' and walking nicely on the lead.
I think it would be of benefit to the puppies too, not only as a bit of extra socialisation and training, but also, for them to have a very positive experience with training early on (we only use positive, reward based methods) would stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives.
I'm in the process of contacting rescue centres as well, but they have no puppies at the moment.
If anyone can help, please email me, Jo_Corney@hotmail.com or reply on here.
Thanks in advance,
Jo

Hi Jo
Just for info, I'm getting a dobe puppy in June, so if you have any classes planned for this time near me (I'm in Darlington) let me know, I'd love to come along.
Good luck
Jo
Hello Jo
Sorry you are not in our area, are there Gwen Bailey puppy classes in a lot of areas though? It sounds like just the socialisation I will want when we finally get our pup. Best of luck with your course and the classes!

It's for puppies from 12 to 20 weeks, I think. There was one started up recently near me in Cambs, so yes, they're all over the place. There is a web-site which will tell you your nearest.
HereLynnT
.com changed to .co.uk - oops, sorry!
Thanks for the info Lynn, but the link was to a puppy school in Texas, am I missing something on there that links to the UK?

Sorry Hayley. Try it now.
Thanks Lynn
The nearest one to me is Slough, depends which side of Slough as to whether it will be suitable, I haven't managed to book a pup yet so all a bit pie in the sky at present, but we are also lucky to be only 15 minutes away from Roger Mugfords behavioural practice, they also do puppy classes.
Anyway thanks for your help
Goodnight, Hayley
