Hi,

Does anybody know of any organisations in the North-West (Wirral) that might be looking for volunteers in the weekends?
I've tried the local RSPCA, but they dont let ppl come in for the weekend only.
I work fulltime, so I dont have time during the week unfortunately. But I'd love to help out in my free time on weekends.

There doesnt seem to be anywhere near me that wants the help (northampton)

Hi Wendy - how far would you want to travel ? I know that Capricorn Animal Rescue always welcomes voluntary help - but they are based in Buckley, North Wales so might be a bit too far away.

Have you tried calling your local Vet's? They often have posters, info on organisations wanting help. I Think that because the RSPCA is so well known lots of people offer help, so if you really want to help smaller local organisations may want you.

I missed a meeting the other day for animal welfare help up here in Colne, Lancashire - but another will come along soon.

Driving to North Wales is a bit far Im afraid, I'd loose too much time driving while I could be helping out somewhere local.

Rachel, I'm from Northants and know someone that helps at Maxicare Kennels in her spare time, walking dogs etc, worth giving them a try. I think they are based at Grendon near Wellingborough.
