Hello everyone,

since our dog was neutered on friday morning, Rufus has been drinking
alot of water i.e nearly 3 or 4 bowls full a day compared to 1 a day before
the op.
Has anyone else had this? My mum said it is because the GA can
dehydrate them to avoid choking etc, and their throats can be sore afterwards.
We have to take him to the vets for a post-op appointment tonight, but
I just thought I would ask here for experiences first.
Also he has had several accidents too (he has been 100% housetrained fpr
a couple of months)
He is nearly 6 months, is having no pain, and in himself is his usual silly-self!

Darcy was given a steroid injection and the vet warned us it could make her thirsty.

Could he have been given a similar injection after the op????
