Hi all

I've heard from the breeder (e-mail) about my bedlington terrier puppy. She said he was calm when she picked him up and appeared interested when he was talked to. He's 3 weeks old. She also said that he was ahead in most things compared to his two sisters (don't know if that's good, bad or indifferent). I hope the calm disposition stays!

Bleubell,

When I picked my Cairn out of the two bitches her breeder was letting go I was told she was the calmer puppy. All I can say is that if she is calm I would hate to see what "lively" looks like! Terrier puppies are all like rockets compared to many other breeds. They run like lightening on little legs and have only two speeds - top speed and asleep. They come with a lifelong guarantee to make you laugh, are portable, clever and charming. Calm as youngsters, they are not.

Stacey,

Thanks for the heads up! I sent the cheque today (trudged through the snow - when will it end!) and am so excited! Bedlington terriers are so fast! I can imagine the recall will be a bit of a trick. I was thinking of using a long lead when we're in the backyard (when he's older). Any special terrier advice?
