I want to buy a pup in the pet shop in Hong Kong and the salesman told me that this pup is from Australia. How can I know or make sure that is from Aussie? Periously, I got one golden from pet shop and they told me that he is local and home breeded. However, I finally find out that is from China. (black market) No vacc., and he got very sick. After two weeks, he dead. So, I want to ask is there any document can prove or what other stuff? Please help me out!

Please do not buy from a pet shop, every person who does is helping support the abuse of these puppies. contact the Hong Kong Kennel Club, for a list of breeders or breed clubs. Reputable breeders do not sell to pet shops, but vet each puppy owner to ensure their precius pup gets the best possible home.

Those who sell to exporters and wholesale dealers do not care about welfare, and their Breeding stock is often poor quality also. Also pups that have been subjected to the stress of long travel, and the pet shop environment are likely to be unthrifty.

also depending on what your pup died of it might be better to wait quite a few months incase of infection as disease such as parvo can survive in your premises for many months, therefore if you bring in another pup too soon the chances are you'd loose it too,ask you vet for advice regarding the death of your first pup and what it was likely to be ,also when he feels it would be safe to bring in another, good luck and please dont buy your next from a pet shop!
