If you are having to ask these questions you really are not experienced or knowledgeable enough YET to be thinking about using your dog at Stud. Bitch owners (the responsible ones) would only be interested in a dog of proven above average/outstanding merit. Unless you show, or have truly studied the breed, by reading, attending shows to see the breed in number, you will not know if your dog has anything to offer the BREED. You should only let your dog be used if he is Outstanding, and has a pedigree that will add to the improvement/maintenance of quality typical specimens of the breed.

Realistically no-one (apart from irresponsible breeders) would consider your dog unless they have had the opportunity of evaluating his qualities against his peers (show wins). If breeding fascinates you, then you will be best to start showing your dog after having attended Ring training classes, you will then know how he compares, and if he does well and has desirable bloodlines, you just may get Stud enquiries, which you should only accept if (after study of the breed) you find the bitch to be suitable to complement your dogs qualities.

Breeding is a hobby for those who have a pashion for their breed, and should never be undertaken lightly, as it carries lifelong moral responsibilities towards the puppies you are responsible for allowing to be born!
