I always give my pups porridge or ready brek made from goats milk every day and that is their most exciting meal. I think I would rather give milk rather than tea

My first dobe loved tea, and everytime we made ourselves a cup she would have a bowl of milky tea:D

I'm sure I heard somewhere that tea was bad for dogs(?) Our first f/c used to have a cup every morning, not sure if she loved the taste or just the fact that she was having exactly what we were too ;) We stopped it with the next dog.

Hi
Is tea bad for them, i always give my babies a bowl of tea ? and the others always finish off whats left in the cup...and then i make a bowl up for them sometimes.

Mine have tea too.

It's never been a problem, but i'm sure I read somewhere once that tea was not good for them.

Wonder if anyone else has any info on it??

Tea and coffee both contain caffeine which in high quantities can be poisonous - but they'd have to drink a lot.........

On this website it mentions loads of things that are toxic to dogs. I presume that it is only if they are fed in enormous amounts? I give my dog the occasional tomato, but apparently they are poisionous!

Another question: Quite a while ago I remember reading about somebody who's dogs died after they'd had new windows fitted and left the dogs in the house. The dogs had apparently breathed in toxic fumes found in something used to seal the windows. Does anybody know what exactly it was?

Sharon,

I think the link shows that you cannot believe everything on the Web. No bones for dogs, not even a mention that cooked bones are the problem. Skinned, boneless chicken breasts and turkey breasts? Seems to be confusing an ultra low fat people diet with a dog's recommended diet.

Dogs would have to ingest so many peaches, apples, cherries and such that they would vomit or have major "runs" before they even got close to being affected by cyanide poisoning from the pits.
