I am very interested in raising a Malamute as part of our family. I am now moving to a more suitable house and area and want to find out how I can get information on forthcoming litters? I lived near the rockies for a year and was surrounded by the breed as well as watching them race in Aviemore having been brought up in the West Highlands. I am now hooked! I have been brought up with dogs all my life, mainly gun dogs and miss the company so would be looking for a friend rather than a showdog! Any help would be great. Zog

Hi Zog ...the best thing I can suggest is that you check out the info here : All Things Alaskan Malamute ...get in touch with some breeders and also with the club (details on that page) . You can expect to wait for upto 18 months for a puppy and most breeders will want to meet your faimly first :)

Also make sure that the parents of a prospective pup have been hip scored ;)

There are a lot of Mal owners here on this site and you could always Register with us should you want to ask any other questions :)
