Hey! I've been breeding shihtzu, don't know if it's any different or if it's the same. Mated or not there should be lesser blood as it is nearing the end of their heat season. But when my bitch was mated recently 5 days later there were blood everywhere usually when she pees, But its not blood red it's more of a brownish red in color, The vet said she has UTI( urinary tract infection). What i did was i let her drink coconut milk fo a few days.
