My 2 Staffie pups started off on Eukanuba Puppy Food.. Dont know if you know it.. but hells bells! It is so expensive where we are for 2 of them as they are eating about 20kgs a month. I have also found that no other dry food fills them up as well as Eukanuba and they are looking quite thin. Any ideas how to bulk them up again?? and please no stinky recipes *giggle* I have a very weak stomach!!

Hi Tamlyn,
Puppies at about 6 months go through a very "leggy" stage till they mature and fill out, from about a year upwards. They'll do best if you let them fill out gradually rather than trying to get them looking like adults before their time! :)

Edit: PS - they are regularly wormed, aren't they? A heavy worm burden can make them lose condition and eat ravenously.

Hi
I posted a while ago thinking of changing my dogs diet because the food they were on was making them carry too much weight and they were only eating a small amount so it may be worth a try for you.Its called Autarky,is 100% no addittives and contains lots of good herbs. Its also a food for working dogs (doesn't mean you can't feed it to a pet) so is VAT free.

red mills leader range is quite good as well and Autarky and Red Mills are nowhere near the price of eukanuba and it just as good if not better
