Hi. I have a 1 year old Beagle, Lelito. We love him but he drives us nuts. He has dug several hole in our carpet. We tie him to the dinning table when we are gone. And when we come back, he grabbed everything on the table a chewed it into pieces. We have no clue what to do with him. Do you have any ideas? Please help. E-mail me at mm_designs@lycos.com
Thank you

I have a 7 month old beagle. To be honest tying it to a table while your out doesn't sound a very good idea. Beagles can be destructive when left as they are pack animals and like to have company. They also become stressed very easily and can be more destructive due to this. For example, i used to leave my beagle in a cage while i was out, i found this made her worse and more destructive when i came back. Now i leave her in a room when i go out. She has scratched all the door, but she eventually settles down and is fine when i get back. It took us ages to get her settled down. At least she can run round in the room and get it out of her system, rather than being locked in a cage. The problem is that beagles get bored quickly. Make sure you have plenty of toys. I have found a kong toy, look at www.kongcompany.com, which is excellent this seems to keep her busy for a while. Good Luck. Hope this has helped.
