Hi everyone I havea 2year old Rottie male who tries to mate everyone who comes into my house, young or old male/female it dosent matter, he gets to the point that he jumps up wrapgs his legs around and there you go, he does not do it to us, only people who visit us, he normally is well behaved and obedient I have had Shepherds for 15 years and never experienced this before, Any advice would be appreciated, he is 2 years old and I know that he will be reaching full maturity soon, but this is getting embarassing HELP

Hi Tracy,
This is a difficult problem when the dog is a big one! I think what I would do in this case is, as soon as he starts mounting, say "No!" very firmly, take him by the collar and shut him away in another room for a few minutes till he's calmed down. Let him in again and be prepared to keep repeating this. It may take some while for him to learn that mounting gets him put away, but if you are consistent he should get the messageGood luck. :)
