Was I the only one who saw "This Morning" today and sat with my mouth wide open. There was one woman on it who had a Bichon Frise (sorry if I've spelt it wrong) and sent it to a gym because it was supposedly overweight! :( The dog had it's own personal trainer to exercise it on a running machine and to make it do stretching exercises! All I could think was "Lazy cow" (sorry Admin). She readily admitted that she doesn't have time to walk "her baby". What a selfish person to have a dog and not exercise it when you're perfectly fit and well to do so. She only had a white dog to fit in with her white apartment and takes the dog with her to restaurants and nightclubs because he doesn't like to be away from her.
What do you lot think about it?

Hi Jill!
I saw it, I sat as if I was catching bugs with my mouth wide open for the full five minutes. After the initial shock of the dodgy moustache groomer man, and the wonder of the owners dodgy lip liner (what was THAT all about), I watched in amazement as the trainer helped with the stretches! I did notice though, that the little dog did try to get off of the machine as if he had never been on it before in his life!, so maybe it was all hyped up abit for the camera. well we can hope!!
Apparently, there is more all this week, so what tomorrow brings, one can only wonder. Dog shops at Gucci! or Dog goes to health spa for weekend with Beckham!

There was a program on a while ago about rich dog owners putting their dogs up in expensive dog hotels.
We're talking silk sheets on the bed, steak for dinner or whipped cream, whatever the dog wanted, it got.
Personal walk and playtime with their favorite toy etc...Manicures/grooming, the works! Not to offend any american visitors, but
I find it hard to imagine that kinda thing would ever catch here in Europe!
(maybe it already has and I dont know about it?).
I think its simply a matter of people having too much money and trying to buy off their guild because they neglect their pets.
I think it is awful and i have no idea what goes on in the minds of the owners - do they think of the dog as a sort of substitute child? I'm not sure, but at the end of the day dogs are happier being dogs - they don't care about many of the things we do ;) and that is part of the reason we love them in the first place.
I think it is silly that a dog is given a personal trainer and yet doesn't get a proper walk.

I would think that the personal trainer is just out for the money and if owner says my poor poochie can't go for a walk outside as they will get dirty, the trainer will say ok no problem we will find a diffrent way of excercising the dog, after all he is getting paid silly money to agree isn't he.
Wish i had a job were i got money for doing sod all!!
