24 hours after first stages. we hd 8 pups then after 6 hours,despite occasional straining, no more pups. we have just got back from vets. She had partial uterine inertia and just as vet suggested a section cos oxytocin did not work, she delivered 3 in a hurry!
Vet says still possibly another 2 so sent us home with another oxytocin and we wait. If nothing by 2am she will house visit and consider section. Its been nearly 2 days since sleep and I am shattered. Why do we do it eh:) Will keep you posted

I remember it only too well Sue. I was 10 days with no real sleep, just catnaps, but for me that's normal for the first week with every litter!
