How do you tell if your dog has worms? I worm my bitch regularly and she is not showing any signs of having worms to me (she is a healthy weight, not losing any weight, no bloated tummy, no signs of worms in no.2's) however at a show yesterday somebody who is allegedly a "breed expert" told me she had seen my bitch "shuffling" on her bum and this meant that she had worms and that I must worm her! I personally have never seen my bitch do this. I am now anxious that my bitch may have a problem. She saw the vet recently to have her pet passport jab/blood tests etc and is due to return to see the vet next week as the first rabies vaccination failed. I will obviously raise this with my vet but does anyone have any advice or is it perhaps just that my bitch had an itchy bum on this occassion ??

My cavaliers shuffle on there bottoms regular this means that there anal glands are compacted, if you take a trip to your vets he will teach you how to clear them.
not a very nice job an as said above very smelly but in some instances a neccessity.
hope this is of some help to you and relieves some of your concerns
