Does anyone know how often you have to brush a sheltie's coat and with what kind of brush do you use. I know they have a double coat...

Every day down to the skin. A metal comb will get the hair untangled, and a bristle brush will add lustre. some people will also use Pin brushes, slickers etc.

If the coat is not given regular daily attention, which can be just 10 minutes then it will matt and tangle, and get dirty!

Also for showing an experienced exhibitor will show you how to trim the feet and hocks!
