Asked a few questions recently about which pup to get etc., many thanks for the replies. Have decided on a Mini S. and we are collecting her at 8 weeks old this Friday. We cant wait - her name is Poppy. One question i had for any Mini S experts is about the eye tests. She is being tested today, I assume for Congenital hereditary Cataracts. However, having done my reading, I understand that they are suseptable to other eye conditions such as Hereditary Cataracts, which cannot be detected until at least 6 months and PRA which isnt likely to be onset until 3+ years. I am assured that the parent dogs have annual check, but the mother is I believe only just 3 years old. My questions is, should I be doing anything else and how common are these conditions? Your help would be much appreciate.
