Hi
We seem to be getting in the neck lately from newbie breeders who just thought they'd have a litter and come to us for help..and then wonder why we get so angry..so I wrote a little poem just for them.:)

Hello and welcome to the site,
Our wish is to help not fuss and fight
But please be prepared,if you’ve done everything wrong,
We will give you hell and then…… help you along.
We care for our dogs and sure you do too,
But that isn’t enough when you haven’t a clue
The parents need tests before you consider
Just going ahead and having a litter.
Breeding is not just something to do,
It means lots of tests and it cost a lot too.
The puppies arrive and you come on the site
Asking us all to help with your plight
We can tell by your posts that you have no idea,
And are worried and crazed with growing fear
Your pups are not feeding what should you do?
Should I start weaning they’re on week two ?
Mums losing blood should I go to the vet ?
I don’t have the room, can I sell them yet?
So please have some patients when we let of some steam
We’re not really nasty or terribly mean
We get our dogs tested with this and the other
And get angry with those who just don’t bother
We do all this to protect our breeds
It’s what you do first, it’s what the dogs need
Think of the puppies as they grow old with pain
The ones that can’t see, the ones that go lame
Read everything you can and be armed with the facts
You may then understand ……why it is.. we react. :)
We always calm down and come to your aid
So sorry.... it's the way us breeders are made :)
