When a bitch starts her season how long will it be until the next one. Do we count from day 1 or when the season is finished.

As with us ladies you count from the first day of one to the first day of the next one.

My girls have gone anything from 20 weeks when they first started their seasons, to the more usual 27 weeks, and as long as 32 weeks between seasons.

Breed often makes a difference. I understand that GSD can have quite short inter season intervals, as little as every four months. A friend had Welsh Springer Spaniles, and they cae in season on average every 9 or 10 months!

They vary my bitch has come into season exactly 6mths to the day from her last season working on first signs of bleeding in both seasons, I hasten to add she's the only 1 I've had who has done this lol.

I work out via the mth that the season started it June for 1 season so expect the next sometime in December. I have had others that don't come in again for 9 mths to a year just depends on the bitch they all differ.

My dalmatians used to have seasons at 8 month intervals.
