I decided to clear some stuff from 'My documents' and I keep coming across PPThums.ptn which cannot be read anyway. When i ran a search it is in loads of things. Is it a virus.Can I delete it without damage to the PC

PPThumbs.ptn files are created by Scansoft's program called
Paperport, to hold "thumbnail" images.
According to Scansoft technical support, you may delete these files, but they will be recreated as soon
as you run Paperport again.
