My family and I would love to own a malamute. We are trying to learn as much as we can about the breed.Any advice would be much appreciated,or information on upcoming dogshows. We'd also like to meet mal owners and breeders with a view to being considered for any future waiting lists. If you can offer any help please get in touch-fingers crossed The Parkers!

i live in northumberland too ,they have a show held at gosforth park racecourse.north east working and pastoral breeds ,there are classes on for malamutes, also darlington championship show,i think the day you'd need to go would be sat 15th september,i'm not entered so i'm not 100% sure thats the day but someone who's going might confirm it for you

Its actually on Sat 22nd Sept for working and pastoral breeds that is .Darlington is the 15th .Gillian

i am a mal owner and have been for two years ,they are wounderfull dogs (when they listen to you )they do have minds of there own and are very strong willed ,they don't always love other dogs but are great with children of all ages i have a three year old and a 3 mth old ,they love her and she loves them .
but if it is a nice quiet dog your looking for try another breed they dont bark they howl and howl and howl !!!
and they jump fences i.e garden fences
